I was going to write a little something about how the Clash of Civilizations was probably wrong; that not much has changed since the Cold War in the sense that the US, Russia, and China are probably going to dominate global politics in roughly the pattern as the previous half century. The 90s were a hiccup.

But I am tired, so take from that what you will.

Suffice it to say that I am sick of: michael phelps, "break-away region," rain, "these" olympics, any olympics, apple products.

I am not sick of: kurt vonnegut, bob dylan, bananas, balms.
